Accounting Club Honors Students and Alumni at 2025 Banquet

Reflection, recognition and connection were at the forefront of the College of babyÖ±²¥app Accounting babyÖ±²¥app’s 2025 Accounting Banquet held on May 8.
The event highlighted important aspects of the Accounting Club to students, alumni, faculty and professional firm partners, emphasizing the strong sense of community and professional engagement the club promotes. The growing impact of the program was highlighted through the celebration of student and alumni accomplishments as well as professional partnerships.
2025 alumni and partner award recipients included the following:
- Ronald J. Plankis – Distinguished Accounting Alumnus Award
- Mary Lancaster – Outstanding Accounting Alumnus Award
- Eric Grusnt, Jack Blitstein, Jennifer Cisneros – Young Accounting Alumnus Award
- Topel Forman LLC – Community Partner Award
Student leaders Odalys Ochoa, Anna Domina and Natalie Borcean shared highlights from the club’s activities and engagement throughout the year, revisiting lessons and aspects learned from the Accounting Club. Jophie Chen, Certified Public Accountant and Senior Finance Manager at GE HealthCare, delivered the keynote address, discussing her career journey and providing insight into professional development.
“The banquet was more than a celebration - it was a reflection of how far the program has come and how closely our students, alumni and industry partners continue to work together,” noted host Dr. Iyad Rock, assistant professor of accounting and faculty advisor to the Accounting Club.
